Apostle Lionel and Pastor Margaret Etwaru
Passionate Leaders, Faithful Servants, Global Impact
For over 19 years, Apostle Lionel Etwaru and his wife, Pastor Margaret Etwaru, have faithfully led Global Christian Ministries, bringing hope, transformation, and the power of God’s Word to countless lives. Their journey is one of unwavering faith, deep passion for ministry, and a relentless commitment to raising up strong believers and leaders worldwide.
A Life Transformed, A Calling Fulfilled
Once deeply rooted in Hinduism, Apostle Lionel encountered Christ in September 1963—a moment that forever changed his life. Just a year later, he stepped into ministry, answering God’s call with boldness and conviction.
In his homeland of Guyana, South America, he was a pioneering force in the Full Gospel Fellowship of Churches and Ministers, a movement that has since grown to over 170 churches. With an apostolic mandate, he has trained and equipped men and women for ministry, extending his impact to 26 nations.
Apostle Lionel has worn many hats—Bible School Teacher, Principal, Chairman of the Fellowship, and a member of the National Apostolic Team—before God led him to the United States in 1989 to continue his mission on a global scale.
